The loss of hair volume is clinically manifested as diffuse thinning of the hair in the frontal and coronal regions of the scalp.
Androgenetic alopecia, which is caused by miniaturization of the hair, is a non-cicatricial hair loss. The genetic background, together with the hormones, negatively affects the follicular structure and causes the hair cycle to change. Due to the shortening of the anagen phase and the reduction of hair matrix cells, terminal hairs in androgenetic alopecia transform into short and thin vellus hairs seen in classical baldness. What is the Difference in Permanent Hair Number in Transplantation and Cellular Treatment?

Cellular Hair Regrowth Therapy :

The natural hair density before hair loss is 80-100 hairs per square centimeter. After cellular therapy, this number is over 50 hairs per square centimeter.

Hair Transplant:

The number of safe hair grafts taken from the permanent donor area in transplantation is 3500-5000. While the natural hair density before hair loss is 80-100 hairs per square centimeter, the hair density in a single hair transplant session is 20 hairs per square centimeter. Technically, this number can be exceeded, but the blood supply cannot support more than 20 hairs planted per square centimeter, so if the planting density is exceeded, the hair grafts may die and be lost forever.


What is the difference between these procedures?

Cellular Regrowth Therapy

Hair Transplant​

  5. Transplanted hair remains years later, while untreated native hair is prone to thinning and loss

  6. Hair transplant surgery takes a full day (more 12 hours)with doctor, transplant technicians/nurses and with patient present for the entire procedure

  7. FUE transplant costs more because of more labor required than an FUT, and expensive transplant technology such as robotos. Either transplant method needs a full team of a doctor, technicians/nurses in operating room the entire day for just one patient

  8. Hair transplant procedure usually needed again when native hair thins

  9. Hair transplant patients still need finasteride to slow thinning of their native hair.Minoxidil is also often recommended for existing and transplanted hair.
